LabNet Laboratory Information System

LabNet LIS is a Windows client server system that combines unmatched ease of use with the versatility, power and high-speed volume required to meet the most demanding laboratory needs. Designed by industry experts, LabNet connects multiple workstations from numerous departments to provide a single powerful information system for the whole lab and network. Add to that, connections to many of our hundreds of analyzer interfaces, and your lab can become a smooth and efficient operation.

LabNet is structured to make generating and distributing lab results as easy and effective as possible. Outside of the confines of the lab itself, the system can upload lab information to electronic medical records, billing, health information systems and/or practice management systems. With such integration into the larger medical system, critical data can get to and from every part of the healthcare environment.

LabNet has built-in flexibility to allow each LabNet system to be custom configured for each laboratory environment. Once installed, it is easy to edit the system on the fly by laboratory personnel so it is constantly updated and accurate to your lab's specifications. The windows screens are designed to be intuitive and easy for operators to learn and use. Many of LabNet's features can be turned on or off depending on the preferences of individual laboratory.

The basic LabNet system centers around the Work List screen that can be customized to display only those tests pertinent to a specific work station/bench. This feature helps technologist focus on just the tests that fall into their area of responsibility, i.e. hematology tests are separate from chemistry test. Out of range and critical and panic value results are immediately highlighted by LabNet for urgent action by the technologists. Analytical results can be entered manually or uploaded directly from an interfaced analyzer. LabNet has available hundreds of analyzer interfaces that are both uni-directional and bi-direction for host query of bar coded patient samples. Completed reports can be approved by multiple supervisor and management levels prior to processing and storage in Lab Records.

A data base of patient results can by searched by multiple criteria in Lab Records with trending and graphing options available for expert presentation to the clinical staff. A full Quality Control module includes current QC, Levy Jennings curves, and more.

LabNet's intelligence allows it to manage test orders and patient samples before they arrive on the analytical Work List screen. With the Draw Schedule and Receive Sample screens, it is easy to view which orders have not yet had samples collected for and which samples are still in transit to the lab's sample receiving station. Thanks to LabNet, nothing gets lost.

For more demanding requirements, LabNet has available several specialized add-on models and products such as the Auto-faxing module for faxing final reports along with the Automated Report Manager for generating management reports on a regular frequency such as "end of month". To support a robust microbiology department, LabNet has an add-on Microbiology module for the electronic management and reporting of cultures including; stains, smears, antimicrobial sensitivities, preliminary and final results. Finally, for labs with outreach reference lab services, a web based product called Velocity can be added to provide easy access through the Internet for placing lab orders or viewing results from any practice location or physician home any time day or night.

With so many options available, each system is customized for each implementation individually. Our bench experienced medical technologists are available to consult with you to learn your laboratory requirements so that we can configure LabNet to meet all of your needs. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
