LabSoft
Announces New Technology Advancements
At CLMA/ASCP 2002
Conference & Exhibition New Orleans, LA
(June 27, 2002) – LabSoft, Inc. announced today the launch of its new Advanced
Reporting Module (ARM)
- a software package designed to help managers simplify complex business
functions that have become a key part of day-to-day lab administration.
“LabSoft’s
goal is to introduce products and services that add real value to our
customers’ laboratories. In the last several months, we have spoken to
countless lab managers across the country who are becoming increasingly burdened
with reporting requirements that fall outside the scope of their technical
expertise,” commented LabSoft President Gary Yancich. “This
module provides businesses the improvements in revenue management and resource
utilization they are looking for, while at the same time
significantly reducing time spent by lab staff on administrative activities.” Labs
can specify down to the minute when they want the system to pull data and
generate reports. For
example, a lab manager can designate a billing report to be automatically
generated at the end of the last shift and then printed out at 8:00 a.m. the
next morning on the billing department’s printer. It is an automatic process
that continues indefinitely. Some
of the reports available through LabSoft’s ARM include medicare denials,
physician utilization and turn-around-time. The software package will be made
available to existing and new customers using any one of the LabSoft laboratory
information systems.
LabSoft,
Inc. provides advanced laboratory information systems to hospitals, reference
labs and physician offices located throughout the United States. The company’s
three primary product lines – LabNet LIS, EZLink LIS and Beethoven II – are
Windows-based applications designed to automate and manage laboratory
information. Headquartered
in Tampa, Florida, LabSoft also operates an office in the Denver, Colorado
region.
